Vale Palmi (Bologna, 1994) relies on vermilion layers to represent the evolution of tomorrow's consciousness. A beyond-man, extroverted in immateriality, made purely of energy.
Critic and curator Tatiana Basso writes about the artist: “Vale Palmi's research is characterised by a peculiar pictorial-signal style that is inseparably the recording of an exercise of existence and at the same time a medium towards a secular Beyond, the fulcrum of his feeling, discerned and investigated through a 'synol' of colour and line. It is no coincidence that I use a term that recurs in the lexicon of classical metaphysics: for Vale Palmi it is a matter of reaching beyond physical things, of an attempt to cross over. Her "Decompositions" show themselves as a dense tangle of iridescent red or red and gold signs that gather around a central "absence" given by the untouched pictorial surface, a magnet towards a luminous unknown to be approached by closely scouting the feverish work of the stroke, thousands of orbits that transpose the invisible occurrence of the disintegration of organic matter in its joyful opening to a more sensitive and communicating becoming. As the language of choice to eternalise this moment, Palmi chooses drawing, which she considers the most direct link between mind and hand, interiority and the world.”
