Monica Mazzone, an artist exhibited on multiple occasions by Studio La Linea Verticale, has been selected as a finalist for the tenth edition of the VAF Prize, one of the most significant initiatives in the landscape of contemporary Italian art. Her participation in the group exhibition, which will be held at the Mart in Rovereto from September 28, 2024, to February 9, 2025, represents an important recognition of her work and artistic vision, underscoring the dialogue her artistic language engages with the most innovative trends in contemporary art.

The VAF Prize has a dual mission: to enrich the foundation's collection with works by emerging artists of proven quality and to promote cutting-edge research in Italian contemporary art, both in Italy and abroad. The finalists' exhibition, in fact, is divided into two stages, with a first showing at the Stadtgalerie in Kiel, Germany, from June 15 to September 1, 2024, before arriving at the Mart. The selection of the finalists was made through a process that allowed the Scientific Committee of the Foundation to review over a hundred applications, recognizing Mazzone as a noteworthy voice.

Monica Mazzone thus joins thirteen artists, including Adriano Annino, Chiara Calore, and Jacopo Ginanneschi, who explore uncharted territories and different perspectives of contemporary art. Participation in the VAF Prize marks a continuity in the growth of her career.

Monica Mazzone will also be among the artists presented by Studio La Linea Verticale at the upcoming ArtVerona Contemporary Art Fair, to be held from October 11 to 13, at Stand N4, Hall 12.

Mazzone's participation in these significant exhibitions not only consolidates her artistic research but also reinforces the role of Studio La Linea Verticale as a platform for promoting artists capable of merging innovation with conceptual depth.
